Lisa M. Hicks-Thomas
In 2014 Lisa Hicks-Thomas joined Dominion Resources as a Senior Advisor for Administrative Services and Strategic Projects responsible for various projects spanning the Human Resources, IT Risk Management, Workforce Diversity and Ethics and Compliance areas. In May 2015 she was named Director – Diversity and Workforce Development, overseeing the company’s Diversity and Inclusion Program, Affirmative Action and EEOC reporting requirements and Career Development and Leadership Strategy initiatives. In addition to her role with diversity and inclusion, she was most recently named Director-Ethics and Compliance. In this role, Hicks-Thomas, is responsible for the day-to-day administration of Dominion’s Ethics and Compliance Program.
Before joining Dominion Hicks-Thomas served as the Secretary of Administration for the Commonwealth of Virginia from 2010-2014 where she oversaw state agencies responsible for Human Resources, Facilities, Procurement, Elections and Small, Minority and Women-owned business certification. Prior to joining the Governor’s Cabinet she served as the Deputy Attorney General for Transportation, Real Estate, Environment and Technology.
Hicks-Thomas graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and received her Juris Doctorate from the Marshall Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary in 1994.
She currently serves on the Richmond Police Foundation, the United Way’s Women’s Leadership Council Give Committee, the YWCA Board of Governors, the VCU Health System Board and the Virginia Women’s Monument Commission. She resides in Henrico County, Virginia with her husband and two children.
