As Sponsorship Relationship Manager, Melissa executes business strategies that maximizes relationships with corporate members and constituent alliances. She is the first point of contact for sponsors and corporate members.
Melissa’s past work experiences including Strategic Partnership and Advancement Manager for Destination Imagination, a global educational non-profit, where she worked with corporate partners to provide educational experiences for students including those from Title I schools and national youth organizations such as the YMCA and the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. As the Director of Youth Engagement at Temple Beth Abraham in Tarrytown, NY, Melissa pioneered a new middle school program with the North American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY) and served on the Youth Advisory Committee for the Youth Summit at NFTY’s 2017 Convention. In addition, Melissa served as a English Language Arts teacher at Peter Rouget Middle School 88 in Park Slope, Brooklyn where she piloted the school’s first self-contained inclusion class and served on the School Based Management Team.
Melissa’s has served on the Executive Board, education committee and hiring committee at Temple Israel of Northern Westchester. She is a long-time volunteer with BSA Troop 28 in Croton on Hudson spending many years as a Den Leader and volunteered as a Team Manager and Appraiser with Destination Imagination, leading several teams of students to represent New York State at the Global Finals competition.
Melissa has a BS in Elementary Education from SUNY Oswego and a Master’s Degree in Reading Instruction from Hofstra University. She also has a certification in Experiential Jewish Education for Adolescents and Emerging Adults from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion.
